To begin, this is a class assignment. So I am going to start by listing the questions with my immediate responses below them.
a. What is the purpose of this site?
To post Video's of anything - to Communicate information, which may enlighten or intrigue.
b. Who is the intended audience?
This answer varies from the topic of the video, which is great that we can freely speak about anything!! freedom of speech is one of the greatest liberties we have!
c. Do you think that the site reaches its intended audiences? Why or why not?
For this I have to answer "both." as we have the freedom to speak, our audiences have the freedom to not like what we have to say... however, this is as perfect as it gets. Occassionally you will get the random person who comments on something you have spoken about and that person's intention may just be to be rude to you, for the sake of being rude, but why not? It's Free Speech!
d. Is the site useful to you? why or why not?
YES! this site helps convey world wide messages effectively. Real News of what is going on around the world that mainstream media is not paid to cover. documentaries, instructionals, and tutorials.
If you want to know how to do something, go to youtube.com our amazing people we share this planet with have offered a variety of ways of doing the same task. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a school in the future based soley off youtube.com's instructionals.
e. List one interesting fact or issue that this site addresses.
youtube.com like many other companies started as non-profit and free of ads, but the reality is that it cost money to run everything. I hate advertisements as much as the next person, but if you want freedom of speech, it costs 0 - 30seconds of time to watch a chevrolet tahoe commercial. Besides you can critique the commercials some are funny! Trunk Monkey finally someone who can advertise effectively without surpassing the volume of my video.
f. Would you encourage others to visit the site?
I already have and will continue to do so. this site can be informative (infowars.com though they may be biased, or not, that's for you to decide,) funny (as previously listed,) or downright inspiring!
g. How could this site be improved?
Commercialls should be limited in time to less than 30seconds, not 2 minutes or longer; we didn't sign up to watch infomercials like we used to on the old vacuum tube t.v. at 4 in the morning.
Another improvement I would add, would be to directly post on the commercial what you think of it, and how you think that that particular commercial can be improved. Provided that someone actually gives "productive" feedback and not just "trolling."
